Frequently Asked Questions
What are the Host Hotels?
You'll be very pleased with our choices, and the discounted prices.  We chose as the host hostels the Sheraton Burlington, the Quality Inn and the Courtyard Marriot.
Here's why:  First, they had to be very nice hotels.  We want to make sure, regardless of which you choose, that you walk in and think, "wow, this is great."  They're clean, new, well appointed, and relaxing.
We negotiated very good prices for you (saving you between $150 and $90 compared to booking it yourself).
Also, the breakfasts had to meet our strict requirements, the hotel's location allows for easy access to Vermont's riding, and finally, the parking needed to allow most of you to see your bike from your room.

Do I have to stay in the host hotel?
No.  But, the price that we've negotiated for you is very good, and it includes the following:  Full Breakfast (not a continental breakfast) every morning, on site daily rider meetings, site of daily tour departures, and the Sheraton is the site of the Welcome party.

What does the tour cost?
Prices are listed on the Pricing & Registration page.  We've offered the package with and without lodging, enabling you to choose the package that meets your needs.

How are the tours led?

Our goal is to provide you the joy of a group ride, while also catering to those who want to ride alone.  Everyone's goal is to explore Vermont, and some will prefer to be right by our guides during this, and some prefer a bit more "elbow room."  We'll accommodate both wants.
Due to its likely size, we'll run the tour in waves.  The waves will be grouped by riding preference (those who want ride at a very relaxed pace, and those preferring a slightly quicker pace).  Note, we will accommodate anyone wanting to ride on their own (see below).
Everyone will have detailed tour maps, though they won't be necessary when riding in our groups.

Our support vehicles will trail the group and provide assistance if needed.
At certain locations, the group will be given time to walk or ride and explore interesting sites.  Don't worry, we'll ensure that your maps (and signs we carefully place) enable you to easily find the spot where the group will regroup.

May I ride without the group, and meet you at the destinations?
Absolutely.  We have constructed very detailed route maps, as well as placing directional signs in key locations.  With the itinerary and maps in hand (and a phone number to reach us), you'll easily be able to find your way to the group's next meeting point.

Are Trikes allowed?
Definitely.  The routes are all suitable for bikes and trikes.

Tell me about the included meals.
We've put together an excellent menu for this weekend, and you'll be fed like kings and queens.  [Menus subject to change pending seasonal availability.]

Americade wows 50,000 people every year.  Imagine what we'll do for only 300.
